Retreats: Social Justice

Age: High school freshmen or sophomores

Length: Choice of 1 to 3 days

Objectives:

  • To promote the belief that all human life is a gift from God.
  • To instill the responsibility of family and community that invites us to care for ourselves and others in need.
  • Explore how every Christian is called to service
  • To promote a better understanding as stewards of the Earth.

This retreat is an ideal experience for freshmen and sophomores, but can also be adapted for middle school students. Catholic Social teaching has been an integral part of our church for over a hundred years. This retreat helps participants to engage the seven themes of Catholic Social teaching.
