Ben Brzeski first came to TYME OUT in 1994 on a sophomore retreat with Catholic Memorial High School. To this day, he can still point out the "mushroom stool" he sat on! Since then, Ben has completed a BA in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master of Arts in English/Creative Writing at Northern Arizona University. In May of 2007, Ben completed a second Master's degree in Pastoral Studies at Saint Francis Seminary. Ben's experience in working with youth includes serving as a confirmation catechist at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in New Berlin, Day Camp Director at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee's Camp Whitcomb/Mason, Director of the Coconino Rural Environment Corps' Youth Conservation Corps in Flagstaff, Arizona and as Retreat Director and Camp Director at TYME OUT for two years prior to returning as Executive Director. Ben and his wife, Liz, live in Hartland and love to do anything which gets them out of doors!
Kathy joins the staff with a secular background in sales, computer experience and clerical skills. She also has a ministerial background having been a catechist for 20 years and a Director of Religious Education for 6 years. Her passion is TYME Out's mission: dedication to the faith formation and character development of all God's children, especially teens. As friend-raiser and fund-raiser she hopes to inspire continued donor support for a strong financial future.
Margie Lang returns to TYME OUT after an absence of 4 years. She welcomes the opportunity to be back working in the retreat ministry which she loves. Margie has been a life time educator in the private school system. Margie received her bachelor's degree from Alverno College and her Masters degree in Religious studies from Cardinal Stritch. Her love of the diversity that TYME OUT is, gives her great satisfaction. She believes, to work in a place where you can share your faith is a true blessing.
Donna Stapleton has been the Business Manager at the TYME OUT Youth Center since October, 1999. This position also involves being Secretary/Treasurer for the Board of Directors. She is a part of the Administrative Team which involves many other aspects of TYME OUT. Donna is happily married and the mother of three children who have also blessed her with four wonderful grandchildren. Having had the opportunity to work with youth at TYME OUT has proven to be invaluable to Donna's faith experience. Donna's presence at TYME OUT has been a win/win situation for both TYME OUT and Donna Stapleton.
Nick Maske has been a long time employee of TYME OUT though he has taken the past seven summers off to work at a summer camp in upstate New York. Nick is excited to return to TYME OUT in what he calls the "role of his dreams." Nick is also a volleyball coach, both at the club and collegiate levels. His camp, coach and retreat experience and expertise make Nick the perfect person for this role.
Marc is a Retreat Director and the Intern Director at TYME OUT. He received his M.A. in Religious Studies from Cardinal Stritch University in December 2005. Marc joined TYME OUT in 2002 to help teens and young adults explore and reflect on their faith. He fulfills this "mission from God" (Blues Brothers reference) by encouraging retreatants to share stories of their faith with each other and to ask questions about the Church and about God's interaction in their lives.
Linda has worked in Youth Ministry for over 31 years and shared her experience at TYME OUT since 1997. She has a Master's degree in Ministerial Science. She enjoys spending time with youth encouraging them to explore their awareness of personal spirituality and to deepen their relationship with God. She strives to help young people open up and share their thoughts and concerns about their beliefs. Linda meets youth with an open heart and responds to their individual needs. She listens without judgement and invites them to listen to others with the same open-mindedness. Most recently, she won the 2007 Wisconsin Rock, paper, scissors, state Championship. It's all about the FUN.
Lea Romagna is a Retreat Director, Camp health coordinator, and the Director of the Leader's-in-Training Camp. Lea is currently working towards her B.A. in Theology and history. She will be graduating in December 2007. Lea started working at TYME OUT in March 2006, with the hope of helping teens find God in their every day lives. Lea loves seeing God work through teens especially when they've taken the time to question and understand the mystery of God.
The newest retreat director at TYME OUT, Beth is working towards two BA's, in Art Therapy and Theology. A native of St. Louis, MO, she loves the St. Louis Cardinals but her passion lies in social justice and peace work. If she is not at work, she is probably busy traveling to other states and countries to explore justice and how art can heal and bring peace to the soul. As she continues discernment of a vocation to the consecrated life with the School Sisters of Notre Dame, she is learning more deeply every day how faith changes everything. Beth started at TYME OUT in October 2007 and wants to explore with teens how God works in their lives and to share with them that they are never alone because God is there, walking beside them.
Keith first came to TYME OUT in 1996 after the April 1st fire in Pewaukee. Previous to this he worked at St. Peter's Emmanuel as maintenance director. Keith has studied art and communications at UW Stevens Point and commercial art at MATC. He has a background in plumbing, electricity and heating. He has certificates in boiler-fireman, low and high, refrigeration, hazard communication and blood bourne pathogens. Keith divides his interests among the study of zymurgy, stain glass, ceramics, fishing and the blues.
Brenda Benishek is one of the newest employees at TYME OUT. Her job description includes Head of housekeeping, Teen staff coordinator, and Assistant cook. Brenda enjoys the variety of tasks involved in the upkeep of TYME OUT, along with the opportunity to facilitate the teen staff. Brenda is not only supervising the teen staff on a work related stage; she is also teaching them what it means to be responsible and respectful young adults, which is not always an easy feat! She is very experienced on the housekeeping front and has been working in the field for over twenty years. Brenda is very pleased with the opportunity to be a part of the TYME OUT community, and hopes to continue to work within an organiztion that changes the lives of so many.
Jen Terman is a second generation TYME OUT chef. She excels in the art of cooking for large groups and diverse students, sometimes simultaneously. In her spare "tyme" she enjoys volleyball, movies and country music. Jen loves to travel with preferred locations of Montana, where her family lives, and Nashville, where country music lives. As of August 6th, 2007, Jen has been employed by the TYME OUT Youth Center for 3138 days and looks ahead to many more. |
